Learning to Pray

Jesus taught His disciples to pray. He gave them a model prayer we call “The Lord’s Prayer” as a guide to lead them into intimacy with the Father and pray for His Kingdom. He taught them that the very nature of prayer is persistent asking, seeking and knocking. We pray earnestly and consistently because we know the Father’s desire is to give good gifts to His children.

It is our hope that as you participate with the MentorLink community in prayer, you will grow in your understanding and practice of prayer. A brief article on the themes of prayer Jesus taught is available with every MentorLink Prayer Team Update. These articles are also available on the Prayer Toolkit page. The Father is waiting for you to approach Him in prayer. He longs to be gracious to you and rises to have compassion on you.
