Eastern Europe
The epicenter of the freedom wave that toppled a brutal dictator was in the central square of the southwestern city of Timisoara. In 1989 Petru and Gina Bulica joined tens of thousands of believers and non-believers in standing firm day and night against political oppression. Freedom came by flickering candlelight.
Now the Bulicas are carrying a new dream of spiritual freedom that comes through Christ and His Kingdom. The once-persecuted evangelical church is still on the margins of society. The excesses of Eastern Orthodoxy, atheism and the occult still hold millions captive. Petru and Gina have a vision for equipping and encouraging leaders who will bring the light and life of Christ into the dark places of their country and all of Eastern Europe.
A revolution of the heart is underway. Romanians throughout the country have been introduced to the Transformational Goals and the Jesus-way of leading. God is opening doors into Europe for the Bulicas and their MentorLink Romania team.
Petru and Gina traveled to Moldova late last year. Petru made another visit just weeks ago. In partnership with Campus Crusade, they are guiding the younger generation in developing Christ-like leadership. Petru and Gina’s passion for sowing the seeds of Jesus’ servant leader values is contagious! MentorLink Romania is developing partnerships to launch the next regional leadership development movement in Ukraine by Fall 2007.
