Dr. Tim Brannagan Joins MLI as Africa Coordinator
MentorLink International’s initiatives in Africa received a tremendous boost with the addition of Dr. Tim Brannagan. Tim possess that rare combination of a mind for academic proficient and a heart for authentic pastoral care. He has served as a missionary, a Bible College academic dean and teacher, a seminary professor and mentor, and more recently as a pastor on a large church staff in the Midwest.
God grabbed Tim’s heart for Africa nearly twenty-five years ago. He says, “My heart is for Africa. My vision is to see God’s Kingdom extended throughout the African continent through Christ like leaders. And my values echoes MentorLink International’s intentional focus on character development, servant leadership, and the absolute necessity of prayer. I love to come alongside a person with a heart for God and in partnership with the Word and the Holy Spirit be used to help mentor them into all God would have them to be. I am so excited to see how God will use my experience as a missionary and as a pastor to help develop His leaders and to establish His church in Africa.”
Tim and his wife, Nancy, raised their children in Liberia [West Africa], and Ethiopia [East Africa]. Tim has also traveled throughout South Africa as a consultant and conference speaker. Tim and Nancy returned to the United States six years ago so that their children could continue their high school and college education. With that accomplished, Tim and Nancy will return to Africa with MentorLink International.
MLI President Rick Sessoms notes, “Tim and Nancy tend to be quiet but they consistently demonstrate a fierce commitment to the Lord Jesus and a resolve to extend God’s Kingdom through considerable personal sacrifice.”
