“The Holy Spirit is given to the believer to be and to do everything in him that God wants him to be and do. The Spirit is given to him especially as the Spirit of prayer and supplication. Is it clear that everything in prayer depends on our trusting the Holy Spirit to do His work in us? We must yield ourselves to His leading and depend only and entirely upon Him.”

  Pray Earnestly
Oct 30, 2009

I asked the Lord, what is on my heart that I can write about today? He brought the words of Jesus to mind, “And he said to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest’.” (Luke 10:2).

Our human strategies will not propel people into harvest work. Neither will our marketing or communication strategies. What propels people into harvest work is the Lord of the harvest.

You who read this have a heart for the Lord and His Kingdom work. There is a harvest somewhere He has laid on your heart. This harvest needs workers who will labor with Him in His harvest field. Pray earnestly to Him who is the mover of hearts, to propel people into this harvest. Also will you pray earnestly with us for laborers in the harvest field we have before us with the Global Mentoring Project.

Praying earnestly,
Stacy Rinehart
