“The Holy Spirit is given to the believer to be and to do everything in him that God wants him to be and do. The Spirit is given to him especially as the Spirit of prayer and supplication. Is it clear that everything in prayer depends on our trusting the Holy Spirit to do His work in us? We must yield ourselves to His leading and depend only and entirely upon Him.”

  A Plea
Nov 06, 2009

I met one of our MentorLink partners from South Africa this week. His ministry is to the Zulu Tribe. He is a Zulu. He came to me pleading to bring additional training to pastors among his people. He was emotional and just shy of shedding a tear. I was moved and promised to make time in 2010 to serve his people.

Then he pleaded that we help rescue the youth of South Africa. These young people have rejected the hypocrisy they see in the Church and among its leaders and have turned to the culture for direction but are finding none. They are floundering but they are the “hope of the nation” in his words.

He said MentorLink brings hope that leaders can be different and that leaders can mentor others. He wants us to make a concerted push to train Zulu pastors so they can train leaders to mentor the youth and younger leaders.

This is what the Lord said, “The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into the harvest.

Pray with us as we seek to serve Vusi and his Zulu pastors.

Praying earnestly,
Stacy Rinehart
