1.
Where are you in your own growth?
2. Where would Christ like you to be?
3. How do you face personal weaknesses and see God grow you in these
areas?
4. How can you serve others in their growth?
We
believe there is a 'holistic' model of the Christian Life
Let's Begin
with God's Expectation of Us
"Hear,
O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love
the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and
all your strength." The second is equally important: "Love your
neighbor as yourself". No other commandment is greater than these."
Matthew
12:29-31 - New Living Translation
Note the Two Great Love Commands
Number
One: To LOVE God with ALL of our Being
Number
Two: To LOVE Others as Ourselves
All
of life should be controlled by love!
The
MentorTrek has Four (God, Church, Ourselves World) 'Love' Relationships
broken down into 3 additional relational areas. These 12 relational are
explained below: (Jesus is the core of these relational areas)

In
the MentorTrek Model, there are 5 Stages of Growth in each of the 12 relational
areas.

These
Stages Highlight Some Basic Principles:
- Become
a 'seeker' & life-long learner
- Learn
to live by faith (walking as a 'believing one')
- Serve
others for His sake by becoming an equipper of others for His kingdom
- Equip
& release other leaders, as a mentor
Our
spiritual growth is 'uneven' for a number of reasons: 1. no of us are
'omni-potent' 2. each of us has unique 'flesh patterns' that selectively
inhibit growth in certain areas 3. we've not had consistent opportunities
across the spectrum of the Christian life and 4. based on our gifts &
interests, we develop 'hobby horses' to the neglect of other crucial areas.
Therefore, we may be mature in one area of life but not nearly so mature
in another. Hence, in one area, we are mature in some areas and immature
in others.

of the 12 Relational areas have 5 Stages of Growth (see graphs below)
